Patient Care Technician PCT
About the role
Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Absorb and report on changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the nursing team.
Accurately document patient care activities and maintain required patient records.
Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for use.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, mobility, and activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming.
- Observe patients and promptly report changes in their physical, mental, or emotional condition to the nursing team.
- Accurately document patient care activities and maintain required patient records.
- Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for use.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
