Patient Care Technician - Part Time Days

About the role

The Patient Care Technician assists licensed staff by maintaining a safe and clean environment in patient areas, supporting basic patient needs, and monitoring vital signs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a nurse aide or patient aide.
• Completed a nurse aide or tech course, or finished at least one clinical semester in an LPN/RN program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is mandatory.
• Welle Training within six months of hire is required.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide or Patient Care Technician certification is preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Requires occasional lifting of 20-50 lbs, standing, walking, reaching, and hearing. Other physical activities like climbing, kneeling, or lifting over 50 lbs are infrequent. Environmental factors include exposure to noise, varied temperatures, and patient contact, with minimal contact with cleaning agents, odors, or operative equipment.
