About the role

The Patient Care Technician assists licensed personnel under their supervision, ensuring a safe and clean environment in patient areas. They support basic patient needs, monitor vital signs, and aid with activities of daily living. The role involves maintaining safety protocols, supporting patient comfort, and assisting with clinical tasks in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred backgrounds include experience as a nurse aide or patient aide, completion of relevant training courses, or clinical semesters in nursing programs.
• Current BLS certification is required, with additional training within six months of hire.
• A Nurse’s Aide license or Patient Care Technician certification is advantageous.

Skills

• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs occasionally; occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
• Good hearing, talking, and vision skills; ability to work in varied environments with exposure to noise and odors.
• Physical capacity to perform necessary movements and assist with patient care activities.
