About the role

This is a full-time Night shift position working 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. Self-scheduling is available for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and holiday rotations are required, with weekend shift differentials offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
Provides patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

  • Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
  • Assists, observes, and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
  • Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • 6 months in acute care experience Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Preferred
