About the role
The Patient Care Tech assists the professional nursing staff with the daily care of patients assigned to the Med/Surg Unit.
Responsibilities
- bathing
- feeding
- passing trays
- making beds
- assisting with ambulation
- I&O
- daily weights
- vital signs
- charting in the patient’s medical record care provided
- assisting and serving patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort
- following the instructions issued by the Physician or licensed nurse according to established policies and procedures
- seeking educational resources to maintain current knowledge and skills for his/her continuing competency
- participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team working to attain the mission, motto, vision, and values of Adams Memorial Hospital
Requirements
- 20 hours per week - First Shift 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Every Other Weekend
- BLS/CPR Certification
- High School Diploma Or Equivalent
- Prior PCT Experience Preferred
