About the role
The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. They assist patients with activities of daily living and perform necessary hygiene and comfort procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Performs hygiene and comfort procedures for patients
- Shares various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team
Requirements
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by AAMA OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by AMT OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by NHA
- One (1) year of patient care experience, preferably in an acute, direct patient care setting such as CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, etc.
Preferred
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
