What You Will Do

• Provides assistance to patients with their activities of daily living.
• Performs routine duties and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff.
• Aids in bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, repositioning, toileting, serving and collecting food trays, answering call lights, ensuring a clean environment, transporting patients, assisting with ambulation, and orienting/reorienting residents to the facility environment.
• Assists with restorative exercises and collecting specimens as directed by nursing staff.
• Documents concise and factual information on appropriate forms.
• Affords feedback to nursing staff on patient conditions, pain management, and other important concerns.
• Assists with restocking supplies and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Provides emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families.
• Enters data into the computer and keeps patient records current.

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• CNA Certified or the ability to complete the CNA courses to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Essential Qualifications

• The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
• Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
