About the Role

The Patient Care Technician provides essential daily care and support to patients, assisting with hygiene, mobility, and routine activities in a patient care setting. Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens.
• Administer treatments, including suppositories and catheterization.
• Document patient data accurately.
• Orient patients and families to the care environment.
• Ensure patient safety and implement care plans under supervision.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to registered nurses.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, with exposure to potential infectious risks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification or enrollment in a nursing program.
• Successful completion of orientation.

Skills

• Effective communication and critical thinking.
• Adaptability in a dynamic patient care environment.
• Physical ability to transfer patients up to 35 lbs.
