About the role

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit in Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician is an unlicensed staff member who is accountable to and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care.

Qualifications

High School/GED Equivalent.

Requirements

• Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
• Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
• Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
• Emergency Services training including EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of an RN, LPN, RT or PT program
• Current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant

Pay

The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Schedule

Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
