About the Role

Performs a variety of duties involving the observation of cardiac monitors, interpretation, and documentation of Cardiac Rhythm strips. Provides personal patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities, as needed, under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or shift leader.
• Maintains work area(s) and equipment through cleaning, stocking, and ordering of supplies.
• Takes and records vital signs, including pain scale according to established policies and procedures.
• Performs clerical duties, including chart management and maintaining unit supplies and forms.
• Manages front desk, assembling and maintaining medical charts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Medical secretary/receptionist experience: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per Adventist Health policy: Required

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $29.56 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
