Job Summary And Responsibilities
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs tasks supportive to delivery of patient care in assigned departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Require one of the following:
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Paramedic, or a military corpsman;
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment;
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
- Requires basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Mandatory Education
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate.
Preferred
- Strong administrative skills as a portion of the day will be serving as the Health Unit Coordinator.
