Responsibilities
- Implements components of the plan of care
- Initiates and completes procedures for basic human, mental health and social needs
- Comfort, safety and emergency measures
- Activities of daily living
- Personal care needs
- Nutrition and fluid needs
- Elimination needs
- Makes vitals signs measurements
- Performs ECGs
- Performs venipunctures
- Placements of IVs
- Capillary blood glucose testing
- Assists as Unit Secretary
- Assists with Patient Transport
- Ensures Environment of Care is maintained
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program
- EMT training program or Nursing student with satisfactory completion of Nursing 101 clinical or equivalent clinical rotation
