About the role
Provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse. Implement components of the care plan, including assisting with basic human, mental health, and social needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and emergency measures.
Responsibilities
- Support activities of daily living, personal care, nutrition, fluid intake, and elimination
- Measure vital signs, perform ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, and blood glucose testing
- Assist with unit secretary duties, patient transport, and environment of care tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, EMT training, or nursing clinical rotation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Qualifications
Preferred: 1 year of experience in a related patient care role.
