Patient Care Technician CNA Cardio

Role Overview The Patient Care Technician provides essential clinical support by performing patient care tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting the healthcare team. They may also serve as a Health Unit Coordinator, managing communication, documentation, and supplies within the unit. Key Responsibilities Deliver basic patient care such as toileting, bathing, ambulation, and comfort measures while ensuring excellent customer service.Report and document patient data accurately, promptly notifying staff of any condition changes.Monitor patients, perform telemetry duties if required, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care.Transport medications, answer phones, transcribe orders, manage unit records, and maintain supplies.Implement delegated care plans, perform specialized procedures within scope, and foster a safe environment by adhering to safety policies. Qualifications & Skills Current CNA certification and BLS certification.Basic computer literacy and excellent communication skills.Ability to perform patient care, vital signs, specimen collection, and safe handling of equipment.Physical ability to lift, assist with mobility, and navigate busy environments. Preferred & Physical Requirements Prior healthcare experience or current nursing school enrollment.Ability to see, hear, communicate effectively, and perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
