Patient Care Technician

About the Role

Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity, delivers a variety of high-quality care and performs basic patient care that meets the needs and uniqueness of assigned patients. Responsible for the delivery of quality care and service excellence while adhering to the PH Standards of Behavior.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Perform basic patient care tailored to the needs of assigned patients.
• Maintain adherence to PH Standards of Behavior and service excellence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, must be actively working toward it and receive it within 2 years of hire.
• Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• CNA, EMT, or Paramedic certification preferred.
• If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center, must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire (for those 18 years and older).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a patient care setting preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
