Overview

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses in providing dialysis treatment to several patients at a time. This role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening clinics early in the morning.

Job Description

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to multiple patients. They are responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, preparing and testing equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. PCTs also educate patients on dialysis and related processes, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure proper documentation of all procedures.

Success Profile

Successful candidates should have prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience. They should be passionate about developing deep relationships with patients and improving their quality of life. Key responsibilities include assisting with patient education, evaluating vascular access, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety.
