Patient Care Technician

About the role

DaVita is hiring a Float Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease at multiple outpatient dialysis clinics in the region. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience

Pay

• Wage range: $19.50 - $30.50/hour
• Patient Care Technician ICHD Float Resident: $20.00 - $21.00/hour
• Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year
• Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham $19.13/hour, Burien $21.71/hour, Everett $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County $20.82/hour, Renton $21.57/hour, Seattle $21.30/hour, Tukwila $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state $17.13/hour

Schedule

Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position requires floating between local clinics as needed.
