About the role
DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to make a significant impact in the lives of patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Responsibilities
- Spend the majority of your day providing direct patient care during dialysis treatments.
- Maintain patient safety and hygiene throughout the treatment process.
- Educate patients about their condition and the importance of dialysis.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor patient health statistics.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leaders.
- Operate and set up hemodialysis machines under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working with blood and needles.
- Flexible schedule accommodating morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Experience in health care fields such as BONENT Certified, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
