About the role
Provides direct patient care to support licensed nurses, ensuring a safe environment by reducing risks and assisting with patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Implements patient care under supervision
- Promotes patient and family-centered care
- Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Performs vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention
- Provides urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, and point of care testing
- Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient condition
- Supports patient and family education
- Documents care activities accurately
- Acts as a 1:1 safety sitter when needed
- Ensures supplies and equipment are available
- Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience not necessary
- Preferred certifications include Certified Nurse Assistant
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Commitment to patient safety
