Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Surgical Institute

About the role

Be the heart of compassionate care in a patient care support role with us! In this vital role, you'll provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to PCT’s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Up to $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic nursing care to meet patients' physical, emotional, and social needs
• Serve as a clinical preceptor to Patient Care Techs (PCTs)
• Cross-train as a Unit Associate
• Maintain a safe and clean unit environment
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant Course
• Nursing Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year of CNA experience
