Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Oncology
About the Role
Be the heart of compassionate care in a patient care support role with us! In this vital role, you'll provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s. You will be cross-trained to Unit Associate or Monitor Technician, assist with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Delivers exceptional customer service
- Assists in patient care functions
- Assists in delivery of indirect patient care functions and transport
- Handles communication and documentation of activities
- Provides leadership
Requirements
- High School Graduation or Equivalent and Nursing Assistant Course Work
- Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience
- Nursing Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Basic EKG certification
- If cross-trained as a Monitor Technician: Successful completion of GSMC EKG test

Pay
Up to $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
