Nacogdoches Medical Center has been serving the East Texas community for nearly 50 years with a focus on caring for patients and a strong team environment. Service lines at the hospital include obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (including a cath lab and electrophysiology capabilities), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology and stroke treatments) and weight loss surgery.
Responsibilities
Renders basic patient care to patients in an assigned unit and assists the professional nurse; takes and records vital signs and observes, reports, and records patient condition; obtains specimens and administers other treatments; operates or assists in operating various mechanical devices; meets physical comfort needs of patient; reports emergencies and administers emergency treatment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: CNA, Nurse Aide Experience, or currently attending a school of nursing
- Minimum Experience: CNA, Nurse Aide Experience, or currently attending a school of nursing
- Required Certification: BLS (to be completed by 3 months of employment)
- Required Licensure: None
- FLSA Status: Non-exempt
