About the role

Join the Care Team at Labette Health, an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital, as a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the day shift in our Medical-Surgical unit. This role supports nursing staff by assisting with basic patient care needs and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Take and record vital signs and input/output measurements.
• Provide support during patient transfers and ambulation.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
• Offer compassionate, respectful care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas CNA certification preferred, not required.
• BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
• Previous hospital or Med-Surg experience preferred, not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, caring, and detail-oriented.

Schedule

7am–7pm (day shift).
