Patient Care Tech ED

About the Role

Support a respectful and comfortable healing environment in the Emergency Department at Ascension Saint Thomas Westlawn in Murfreesboro, TN. This is a PRN, night-shift position.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to support a respectful and comfortable healing environment.
• Enhance patient safety and recovery by aiding with careful movement and positioning of individuals as directed by the clinical team.
• Act as a vital observer for the nursing staff by identifying and reporting changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
• Maintain the integrity of the clinical record by accurately documenting patient observations and care activities in a timely manner.
• Ensure a safe and efficient care environment by keeping patient rooms orderly and maintaining the functionality of medical equipment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Nurse Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalency, or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
