PATIENT CARE TECH, Detox Unit, Part Time Nights
Responsibilities
- Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensures patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
- Mets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
- Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.
- Follows facility policies and procedures to promote patient safety (i.e. safe environment, equipment safety practices, radiation safety, fire prevention, etc.).
- Adheres to fall precautions by performing/assisting patients with toileting/ADL care and never leaving the patient alone. If assistance is needed, CNA is able to ask/call or help while remaining with the patient.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited C.N.A program
- Current Nevada C.N.A. license
- Current BLS certificate
About the Role
Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services. The detox unit is a new program that will offer detox services to all adults 18 years and older. The department is managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.
