Role Overview: The Patient Care Specialist (PCS) provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision, supporting physicians, nurses, and care team members to meet patient and family needs. Responsibilities Include Providing care, collecting, and documenting patient dataCommunicating effectively with patients, families, and team membersSupporting the unit environment and performing clerical dutiesDemonstrating organizational skills, teamwork, and a commitment to quality Qualifications Minimum 18 years old with effective communication skills in EnglishBasic computer skills and familiarity with technological devicesAbility to work irregular hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekendsSelf-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle emergency situations calmlyPreferred experience as PCS, HUC, MA, NS, or Ward Clerk, and knowledge of medical terminologyCurrent Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross Additional Details: This role is full-time, nonexempt, offers competitive pay ($20.00 - $26.44/hour), and benefits including health, dental, vision, savings options, and retirement. The work schedule is daytime hours (8:00-17:00).
