Patient Care Partner – Mother Baby - Nights
About the role
As a Patient Care Partner on the Mother Baby unit, you will thrive at the bedside providing comfort, calm, and compassion to patients and families. You will be the eyes and ears of an award-winning nursing department, collaborating with nurses and nursing attendants to deliver exceptional care. Your role includes performing phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing while balancing patient care and clinical practices.
This is a full-time night shift position covering 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM with rotating weekends and holidays at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville, conveniently located across from the Metro North Station.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support to mothers and babies.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing.
- Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to ensure high-quality care.
- Bring comfort and compassion to patients and families during critical moments.
- Serve as a key member of the nursing team, assisting with clinical and patient care tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Successful completion of an approved Patient Care Tech Program or a Phlebotomy Certification and EKG Certification or demonstrated experience in performing electrocardiograms.
- One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant.
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Maternal Child or a related field (preferred).

Pay
Salary Range: $30.27/hour.
