About the Role

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.

Schedule

  • Three (3) 12-hour shifts: 6:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.
  • Rotating schedule based on unit need
  • No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed
  • School schedules cannot be accommodated

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day delivery of patient care
  • Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards
  • Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards to support unit operations and patient flow
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Technical Capabilities

  • Clinical Competencies (Novice): Demonstrate competence with interventions (such as point-of-care testing, vital signs) in practical applications of moderate difficulty
  • Care Partner Patient Documentation (Novice): Independently work with clinical applications for patient documentation
  • Environment of Care (Novice): Set up and maintain patient rooms, supplies, and equipment; train and educate peers by example and technical support
  • Planning & Organizing (Novice): Anticipate basic resource needs, identify tasks, participate in goal setting, define dependencies, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and organize work for own assignments

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
