Patient Care Leader

About the Role

The Patient Care Leader (PCL) is a clinical nurse who leads the practice of nursing and manages care on the patient care unit. This nurse is proficient in the delivery of complex nursing care and continuously promotes quality care, assuming a broad level of accountability for outcomes. The Patient Care Leader provides 24-hour, 7-day accountability for assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the practice of nursing and manage care on the patient care unit.
• Deliver complex nursing care while promoting quality and accountability for outcomes.
• Provide 24/7 accountability for assigned patients.

Requirements

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) licensure.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by the department.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt position. Shift hours vary. No weekend work or on-call requirements.

This role is based at Winter Haven Hospital and does not involve remote work.
