Patient Care Director - Outpatient Oncology

Role Overview

Provides clinical and operational leadership for outpatient oncology services, including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Adult Oncology Infusion, Apheresis, Bone Marrow Transplant Day Hospital, Breast Center, and specialty clinics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient-centered care.
• Oversees staffing, workflow, quality, safety, patient experience, program development, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.
• Drives initiatives promoting evidence-based practice, operational efficiency, and high-quality outcomes, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth.

Key Duties

• Lead complex outpatient oncology programs, manage change, optimize care delivery, and enhance patient experience in a fast-paced academic setting.
• Collaborate across teams to advance nursing excellence and outpatient cancer care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 3 years RN experience with BSN and current RN license
• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
• Oncology certification (preferred) and management experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and business acumen
