The Patient Care Coordinator will manage clinic flow, interpret provider care plans, and perform clinical tasks such as triage, medication management, and patient education. They are responsible for coordinating surgery bookings, handling prior authorizations, and maintaining accurate patient records within a fast-paced spine care clinic. Description We are looking for a talented, self motivated and fun nurse to provide patient focused care in a very fast paced, multi-provider spine care clinic. This position requires team work, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure, all while maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction. You will be working with one of our Physical Medicine providers in our Interventional Pain Department. We see clinic patients and do injections 5 days a week. We are NOT a "chronic" pain management clinic and deal specifically with spine treatments. This is a full time day shift position. (40 hours per week) NO nights, NO holidays and NO weekends!! Office Hours range from 7:15-5:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:15-2:00 on Fridays. Essential Functions 100% clinic role with phone triage rotationClinic care:Keep clinic flow moving and adjust on the fly when the day gets busyInterpret and act on the provider's plan of care within your licensed scopeEnter orders for imaging, injections, consults, referrals, and physical therapyFill and refill prescriptions, checking PDMP and following DEA recordkeeping standardsComplete surgery booking sheets and the Nurse Review with each patientCoordinate clearance for holding blood thinners ahead of pre-cert and approvalEducate patients on their care plan and confirm they understand itReview discharge summaries with patients and answer their questionsBehind the scenes:Prepare charts ahead of upcoming clinicsRelay test results and complete post-op calls within 2–3 weeks of surgeryHandle medication prior authorizationsManage incoming mail, refill requests, and outside orders from therapy officesKeep your task list and your providers' open orders on trackAnswer phones, triage calls, and protect patient privacy on every one of them Job Type Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per week Benefits 401(k) Work- Life balance CME Allowance Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical Specialty: Orthopedics Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine Physical Setting: Clinic Outpatient Work Location: In person Requirements Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
