Patient Care Coordinator

About the Role

Denver Metro Oral Surgery is seeking a talented and pleasant Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. This role involves handling all administrative and front office duties to provide an exceptional experience for patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customer obsession and clerical management, ensuring guests feel comfortable and valued during their visit.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Answering all incoming calls and redirecting them or taking messages
• Checking, sorting, and forwarding emails
• Keeping updated records and files
• Maintaining a tidy and presentable front desk with all necessary materials (pens, forms, paper, etc.)
• Facilitating and coordinating other office responsibilities as needed

Schedule

Candidates can choose between two flexible scheduling options:

• Four 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a floating day off
• Five 8-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

• At least 1+ years of experience as a front desk representative or in a similar role
• Familiarity with office machines (e.g., fax, printer)
• Strong communication and people skills
• Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Problem-solving skills and a customer service orientation
• A high school diploma
• Desire to help patients
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Ability to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
• Ability to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
• Ability to work around medical equipment and instruments
• Adherence to OSHA and infection control standards
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

Pay

Starting base pay range: $25 - $28 USD per hour.
