About the role
NRV Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - Radford is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. This position also supports our Blacksburg location as requested. Our office is looking for a talented and pleasant patient care coordinator to take on all administrative and front office duties to provide an exceptional experience to all patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients to the dental office
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Answering all incoming calls and redirecting them or keeping messages
- Check, sort and forward emails
- Keep updates records and files
- Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
- Able to travel to Blacksburg office as needed
- Help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientation
- Desires to help your patients
- Dental or medical experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
Physical requirements
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment
- Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
- Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
- Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
- Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Position Base Pay Range: $15 USD - $20 USD
