Orthopedic Rehabilitation Associates, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Monument, CO.
About the role
A Patient Care Coordinator is an entry-level office role responsible for maintaining pleasant and consistent daily clinic operations. This position supports clinic growth through excellence in practice management and patient intake processes, working collaboratively with the Clinic Director to carry out efficient procedures while upholding the mission, vision, and values of Upstream Rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Greet everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Schedule new referrals received by fax or telephone from patients and physician offices.
- Verify insurance coverage for patients.
- Collect patient payments and manage deposits.
- Convert referrals into evaluations and schedule patient visits.
- Create an inviting clinic atmosphere and make welcome calls to patients.
- Monitor and influence patient arrival rates to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain an orderly and organized front office workspace.
- Manage clinic schedule, document routing, non-clinical documentation, and caseload reporting.
- Monitor clinic inventory, discharge candidates, progress notes, and insurance reporting.
- Manage personal overtime and ensure efficient practice operations.
- Attend required training with Territory Field Trainers for Raintree and other business process updates.
- Complete quarterly compliance training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills; ability to relate well to leadership and team members.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.
- Efficient time management and presentation skills.
- Organizational detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Subject to inside environmental conditions with exposure to indoor noise and temperature variations.
- Full-time position operating Monday through Friday during normal business hours (minimum 40 hours per week). May require attendance at special events during evenings or weekends, or additional hours as needed.
- Primarily sedentary work; constant sitting with ability to alternate with standing as needed.
- Constant communication with associates; must be able to hear and speak to accurately exchange information.
- Frequent operation of computers and office equipment (e.g., printers, phones, keyboards, mice, copy machines) using gross and fine manipulation.
- Constant repetitive motions for typing and viewing computer screens (near acuity).
- Must comprehend information and use judgment to respond appropriately in various situations.
- Occasional walking, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting of 0–20 lbs. from floor to waist.
- Rarely crawls, crouches, kneels, stoops, climbs stairs or ladders, reaches above shoulder height, or lifts under 10 lbs. from waist to shoulder.

Pay
Colorado pay range: $17.50–$18 USD per hour. Full-time positions may also have the opportunity to participate in bonus programs or other incentive plans.
