About the role
The Patient Care Coordinator role involves greeting and registering patients, instructing and scheduling patients and visitors, collecting payments, managing medical records, and answering phones.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
- Completes check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and precertification of procedures, and copies required documents
- Collections co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
- Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
- Processes walk-in patients and visitors
- Answers phones and schedules appointments
- Assists with answering caller questions or concerns, taking messages, and managing medical records
- Maintains and files/scans medical records, processes medical record requests, and maintains appropriate logs
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication both in person and via phone
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics if needed
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with electronic health records
- 1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experience
- 1+ years of experience handling and triaging of telephone calls and a multi-system phone line
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to handle cash and to count money at high volumes including mathematical computations
- Ability to work independently and as a team, maintain good judgment and accountability, multi-task, prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate ability to work well with health care providers, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, within the hours of 7:00AM - 5:30PM. Supervisor will determine the schedule. 8-hour shifts, 40-hours per week.
Location
9695 S Yosemite St, Lone Tree, CO 80124 with the expectation to travel up to 10% of the time to other locations if needed
