BenchMark Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking a Full Time Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. This entry-level office role focuses on maintaining pleasant and consistent daily clinic operations, requiring excellent customer service and multitasking skills.

About the role

The Patient Care Coordinator - I (PCC-I) supports clinic growth through excellence in practice management and patient intake processes, collaborating with the Clinic Director to ensure efficient clinic procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Greet everyone entering the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Schedule new referrals received by fax or telephone from patients and physician offices.
  • Verify insurance coverage for patients and collect patient payments.
  • Maintain an orderly and organized front office workspace.
  • Collect all money due at the time of service and convert referrals into evaluations.
  • Schedule patient visits and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Create an inviting clinic atmosphere and make welcome calls to patients.
  • Monitor and influence patient arrival rates to enhance customer experience.
  • Manage clinic schedule, document routing, personal overtime, and non-clinical documentation.
  • Handle deposits, caseload, discharge candidates, progress notes, and insurance reporting.
  • Monitor clinic inventory.
  • Attend required training with Territory Field Trainers for Raintree and other business process updates.
  • Complete quarterly compliance training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to relate well to leadership and teams.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.
  • Efficient time management and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather but not temperature changes) and indoor noise.
  • Full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week) with normal business hours Monday through Friday; may require occasional evenings, weekends, or additional hours for special events.
  • Sedentary work: constant sitting with ability to alternate with standing as needed.
  • Constant communication with associates; must hear and speak clearly to exchange information.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment (printers, phones, keyboards, mice, copiers).
  • Constant repetitive motions for typing and viewing computer screens (near acuity).
  • Must comprehend information and use judgment to respond appropriately in various situations.
  • Occasional walking, standing, pushing/pulling 0-20 lbs., lifting 0-20 lbs. from floor to waist.
  • Rarely crawls, crouches, kneels, stoops, climbs stairs/ladders, reaches above shoulder height, or lifts under 10 lbs. from waist to shoulder.
