About the role

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Atlantic Advanced Spine and Neurology Institute (AASNI) clinics in Lilburn, Suwanee, and Braselton, GA. This position ensures that all aspects of patient care are efficiently managed, from scheduling to follow-up care.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups
  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations and referrals as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information
  • Educate patients about clinic procedures, provider instructions, and follow-up care
  • Serve as a communication bridge between patients and clinical staff
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and billing inquiries with empathy and accuracy
  • Carefully coordinate care with external providers, specialists, or testing facilities as needed
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree or healthcare-related certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting in an outpatient clinic
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and EMR systems (e.g., Athena, ECW)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary based on clinic needs). Occasional overtime may be required.
