Patient Care Asst (PCA II) PD 12 Hr - CMME Med Surg 2
Responsibilities
- Maintains a current certification in patient care.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Provides basic nursing care to all patients.
- Aids in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certification in Patient Care required.
- Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current preferred.
- Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
Pay
Competitive compensation with a reasonable estimate for this role being $23.00 to $26.75 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
