About the role
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team in Hollywood, Florida. This position assists patients with personal care and other related activities under the supervision of an RN.
Responsibilities
- Aids patients with bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Keeps patient rooms/areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Maintains vigilance over patient status and responds to any abnormalities.
- Performs basic patient care tasks as directed by an RN, such as monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Assists with transporting patients as needed.

Education and Certification Requirements
- No degree required
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association (BLS AHA)
- EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date.
