Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient safety and comfort.
  • Makes observations and reports any changes in patient status.
  • Assists with transporting patients as needed.
  • Performs basic patient care activities under supervision, such as monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Supports patient rooms/areas by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining orderliness.
  • Aids patients with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Requirements

    • No degree required.
    • BLS American Heart E-Card, BLS AHA-RQI E-Card, BLS Cert American Heart non-eCard, BLS GRACE, BLS Cert Red Cross.
    • Three (3) months of patient care experience or certification from a formal training program required.

    Qualifications

    • EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six (6) months of hire.
