Role: Patient Care Associate (PCA) on an Inpatient Surgical Unit, supporting adult and pediatric patients recovering from various surgical procedures. Responsibilities Include Providing first-level patient care such as promoting hygiene, mobility, and assisting with daily activitiesMeasuring and recording vital signsResponding to patient and family needsSupporting physicians and nurses during routine proceduresReporting patient condition changes to RNsPreparing hospital rooms and assisting with patient comfort through tasks like bed changes, feeding, dressing, bathing, and toiletingListening to patients’ concerns and documenting themServing as a patient companion when needed Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GEDStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPassion for caring and supporting othersPatient care experience and medical terminology knowledge are preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be obtained after hire)
