Position Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) supports the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. PCA assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, while promoting comfort and maintaining patient dignity.
Responsibilities
- Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output measurements accurately and within established timeframes and/or as requested
- Completes all required documentation in the medical record
- Interacts effectively with patients and families
- Auxiliaries patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Assist patients with turning, repositioning, and transferring between bed and wheelchair as needed
- Llistens to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
