About the role

The Spaulding Rehabilitation Network is a premier rehabilitation hospital and a leader in patient recovery, innovation, and compassionate care, part of the Mass General Brigham system. As a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), you'll assist patients with daily activities, vital signs, and documentation, working closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Takes patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
  • Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
  • Helps patients with hygiene tasks, including bathing and dressing.
  • Assists with turning and repositioning patients in bed and moving them between bed and wheelchair.
  • Listens to and reports any health concerns to nurses.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • No experience in lieu of a degree accepted.
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification], Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification], Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic [Massachusetts], Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] credentials preferred.
