Patient Care Assistant PRN (DOH/SATC #56673+)

Duties

• Assists in the daily monitoring of residents
• Works closely with clinical, education, and other milieu staff
• Develops life skills
• Plans and implements recreation and social activities
• Re-directs patient behavior

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification
• Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience

Employment Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an adolescent treatment center
• Exposure to mentally and/or behaviorally challenged residents, who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors
• May work in an office setting using related office equipment
• Exposure to Visual Video Display Terminal and extensive personal computer and phone usage
• Pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying
