Patient Care Assistant Per Diem

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Absorption of total patient care under the direction of the RN
• Promotion of Patient Safety
• Promotion and support of an organized work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Required

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Years of Experience: None
• Preferred: One year acute care nursing assistant experience
• Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations: State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification OR non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience required. CPR certification is required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Normal knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
