About the Role
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for our Med Surg Unit located within the Edgewood Hospital. This is a PRN position with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain the clerical functions and duties of a designated unit/program
- Utilize customer service skills when greeting patients/visitors and answering telephone
- Complete worklist tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse-generated tasks under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel
- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide for personal care, comfort, and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform tasks such as taking vital signs
- Knowledge of body mechanics
- General computer skills and applications
- Customer service experience
