About the role

Our Medical-Surgical Unit delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population, including vascular, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, chemotherapy, and GIP hospice patients. This dynamic unit provides exposure to a wide range of medical conditions and treatments, offering staff the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills while working collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
  • Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.
  • Documents care and activities per unit standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • PCA/DCA, SRNA, or EMT Experience preferred but not required.
  • Current BLS certification, can be obtained after hire.
  • Handle with Care preferred.
  • Eager to learn and motivated to work in a critical care environment.

Pay

Base compensation plus comprehensive benefits.

Schedule

Full Time | Days: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts; 6:45am-7:15pm & every other weekend, with rotating holiday coverage.
