About the role

The Patient Care Assistant position is available full-time within the Mother Baby Unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital. This role supports nursing staff by performing various patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient care activities
• Providing direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under supervision
• Performing duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties, and ordering and receiving supplies

Requirements

• Proof of required degrees, certificates, and/or certifications at the time of interview
• Medical Terminology exam score of 80% or higher
• Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification
