Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Department

Role: Patient Care Assistant supporting nursing staff by performing delegated tasks in direct and indirect patient care under supervision. Responsibilities Assist with patient care activities within legal scope for unlicensed personnel.Support nursing practice through delegated skills and tasks. Qualifications Must be 18+ years old.Completion of 12 college credits or a high school diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training or equivalent.Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient care situations.Maintain current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross; certification provided during orientation if needed. Key Skills and Attributes: Adaptability, adherence to legal scope of practice, effective communication, and patient-focused care. Additional Details: This is a part-time role with a schedule including 12-hour day/night rotations, every 3rd weekend, and two holidays annually.
