Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Department

Role: Patient Care Assistant responsible for supporting direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. They perform delegated skills within legal limits for unlicensed personnel. Key Responsibilities: Assist staff with patient care tasks, ensuring smooth nursing support and patient needs are met effectively. Qualifications: Must be 18 or older, with either 12 college credits or a high school diploma/GED plus completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent. Must maintain current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, which can be obtained during orientation. Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient care situations. Additional Details: Nonexempt, part-time role with a schedule including 12-hour day/night rotations, every 3rd weekend, and two holidays annually. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $27.33 per hour.
